Lacona

Lacona, which lies within the municipal area of Capoliveri, has always been one of the most sought-after destinations. It has a fine, sandy beach with good facilities, including beach clubs, and also a large open-access area. However, its convenience extends beyond the beach itself, as Lacona is strategically located in the middle of the southern side of the island, midway between Capoliveri and Marina di Campo, making it the ideal place for hopping between the two towns and taking the chance to visit both of them.

Beaches

The beaches of Lacona, Laconella and Margidore are located in the southern part of Elba Island and represent one of the most appreciated seaside areas thanks to the variety of landscapes and the quality of the sea. This area is particularly suitable for those seeking wide sandy beaches, regular seabeds and a well-preserved natural environment, ideal for families and for those looking for relaxation.

Lacona Beach is one of the largest on Elba. The shoreline is characterised by fine, light-coloured sand and gently sloping shallow waters, making it especially suitable for children. The beach is spacious and well organised, offering both equipped sections and freer areas, while a natural area behind the beach contributes to a pleasant and airy setting.

Nearby lies Laconella, a smaller and quieter beach composed mainly of sand mixed with small pebbles. Set within a protected bay, it is appreciated for its more private atmosphere and clear waters, ideal for swimming and relaxing away from the crowds. It is a suitable choice for couples and for those seeking a more natural environment.

Margidore Beach, located on the eastern side of the Gulf of Lacona, features dark sand and gravel, with seabeds that become deeper fairly quickly. The sea here is particularly transparent and the landscape more unspoilt, making Margidore suitable for those who enjoy close contact with nature and a less crowded beach setting.

Overall, Lacona, Laconella and Margidore offer a varied and complementary seaside experience, allowing visitors to choose each day between wide, equipped beaches and quieter coves in one of the most complete areas of Elba Island.
